As a Bell Captain, you are responsible for overseeing the Bellboys and ensuring the efficient handling of guest luggage. Your role involves supervising the arrival and departure experience, coordinating with the Front Office team, and maintaining a high level of guest service. Additionally, you will establish and manage duty rosters, handle guest requests, and contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the hotel.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Foster positive working relationships with all Front Office colleagues, ensuring Guests receive a professional and friendly welcome with assistance readily available.
- Cultivate strong connections with Bellboys to enhance collaboration.
- Utilize the Opera Guest profile system to stay informed about Guest preferences and needs.
- Supervise Bellboys' activities, ensuring seamless transportation of Guest luggage from arrival to their room and from room to departure point during checkout.
- Manage messages, mails, and packages for Guests and colleagues, ensuring timely delivery and systematic storage when necessary.
- Establish and oversee the duty roster based on business requirements.
- Stay well-informed about hotel services and communicate this knowledge to subordinates, enabling them to provide information and address Guest queries effectively.
- Uphold environmental, health, and safety standards in alignment with organizational policies.
